Injected Magnets

MagnetPlastic recommends injected magnets, also known as bonded or compression magnets, which offer several design advantages, allowing for complex shapes, tight mechanical tolerances, and providing a magnetic pattern with unlimited possibilities.

Manufacturing requires an injection mold for each magnet. Injected magnets can be isotropic or anisotropic depending on the magnetic properties required by the material or alignment.

MagnetPlastic specializes in the field of injection molding for magnets and has extensive experience in 2-component molding.

Rare earth magnetic materials such as Neodymium (NdFeB), Samarium-Cobalt (SmCo), and SmFeN can be molded, as well as ferrite material.

The magnetic powder requires a binder to be molded, typically using polymers like PA6, PA12, and PPS.

The density of these magnets is lower compared to magnets produced by sintering, resulting in lower magnetic values.
