Magnetic Beacons: The Quick, Safe and Versatile Solution for Signaling Any Space

Magnetic beacons have become an essential tool for improving safety, organization, and signaling in industrial, logistics, transport environments, as well as in private vehicles. Thanks to the strength of their integrated magnet, they provide a firm and stable attachment without the need for screws, drilling, adhesives or permanent installations. Their ease of use makes them indispensable for any situation requiring temporary, visible and reliable signaling.

What Are Magnetic Beacons?

A magnetic beacon is a signaling device equipped with a magnetized base that attaches to metal surfaces in seconds. They are used to alert about temporary hazards, illuminate work areas, identify specific zones or indicate emergency situations. Their main advantage is mobility: they can be placed, removed, or moved without damaging the surface or interrupting activity.

Main Uses of Magnetic Beacons

1. Industrial Safety

Magnetic beacons help mark temporary risk areas, maintenance work zones or restricted access points. Their immediate visibility helps prevent accidents and improves team coordination.

2. Logistics and Warehouses

In environments with a high density of metal shelving, they are ideal for the quick identification of positions, routes, or special loads. They are also used during inventories and audits to create temporary and reversible markings.

3. Automotive and Transport

They are essential for signaling broken-down vehicles, providing emergency lighting or marking work areas on industrial vehicles. Their tool-free installation makes them indispensable in urgent situations.

4. Construction and Civil Engineering

They are used to indicate hazardous zones, mark temporary passageways or highlight structural elements with low visibility, especially at night or in low-light conditions.

Key Advantages of Magnetic Beacons

  • Tool-free installation: simply bring them close to a metal surface and they instantly lock into place.
  • Strong and stable hold: high-power magnets, often neodymium, resistant to vibrations and harsh conditions.
  • Fast repositioning: ideal for environments where signage needs to change frequently.
  • High visibility: available with LED lighting, bright colors and different designs depending on the application.
  • Total versatility: suitable for indoor and outdoor use across virtually all sectors.

The New 2026 Traffic Regulation and Magnetic Beacons

Starting January 1st, 2026, the DGT will require connected V16 beacons to permanently replace traditional emergency triangles. These beacons integrate GPS or NB-IoT geolocation and automatically send the vehicle’s breakdown location to the DGT 3.0 platform.

The goal is clear: reduce the risk of pedestrian accidents, since the beacon is placed from inside the vehicle, magnetically attaching to the roof without stepping onto the road. Its 360° flashing light must also be visible from at least 1 km, even in adverse conditions.

This regulation applies to cars, vans, trucks and buses, with some exceptions for certain motorcycles.

The Safest Magnets for Signaling

Neodymium magnets are the most powerful, reliable and secure option for this type of application. They ensure stable attachment in industrial environments, logistics centers, warehouses and vehicles.
